The Abyss of Loneliness

The silence deafens me as I stare into the abyss...

the abyss of loneliness...

It beckons me with voices and visions from the past...

At last...

my dulled senses begin to burn with the pain of loss...

my cross...

I grasp for the illusions created in my mind and in my soul...

the hole...

I fall into the abyss... the abyss of loneliness

I hate to be the one to say it but you mispelled loneliness in the title and in the second line. Unless of course that was your intention. I know a lot of poets that mispell words on purpose and if so what was your intention?

Anyway, I like the simple format it has. Like I said in a different topic, less is more sometimes and here I can picture some guy sitting in some dark room with a cross around his neck. Just staring into the darkness thinking about a different time. Maybe a bottle of jack daniels on a small coffee table by his side.

Nope... it wasn't my intention here... otherwise I would have misspelled it all three times instead of only twice... like a jack-ass... lol... don't know how I missed it and I'm glad you caught it so I could correct it... although I do intentionally misspell words sometimes for effect in order to invoke a specific pronunciation such as in slang...

I wondered if you misspelled misspell on purpose... so I looked it up to be sure... the way that you spelled it... "mispell" does come up as a listing in the online dictionary but for the definition you must see the much more common spelling of the word which is misspell... but who really gives a fuckin' rat's ass... I guess you just like to be different

Anyway... I really do appreciate the feedback... and you definitely got the intended visual

Oh shit, I guess Im guilty of misspelling also. I always seem to misspell that word because its so counter-intuitive to put both s' in there. Thanks for the heads up.
